So, I read all of your comments and left a couple of comments myself. We all seem to love the same KStew movies, which is good because it will make for very enjoyable Movie Mondays.
A lot of you guys said In the Land of Women was your favorite KStew movie.. Guess what? I’ve never seen it!

Some said they liked this movie until that Adam Brody quote came out. Yes, I've seen the video. Diablo Cody said it was taken out of context and Adam's girlfriend said they love Kristen and Adventureland, and he would never badmouth a costar. As Kristen fans, we of all people should understand a quote being taken out of context. I say we just forget any of it ever happened. Whether it was or wasn’t a legitimate quote doesn’t concern us. We’re not watching the movie for Adam; we’re watching it for Kristen.
As I was imdb'ing (verb) this, I found out Kristen's name is Lucy Hardwicke in this movie. Hardwicke? DO YOU KNOW MY LOVE FOR CATHY!? This is a sign that I was meant to watch this movie.

Wow, you're the first person I meet in this fandom that loves Catherine Hardwicke! I love her too since I've seen Thirteen a few years ago and I still love her for how she did Twilight.
ReplyDeleteI've seen In The Land of Women and it's definitely worth it. Kristen is really good in it and beautiful. The movie in itself is rather nice.
But it's obvious, we all know Kristen chooses her movies carefully!
I borrowed this movie from my local library. I have to say I love blonde Stew. The movie is funny and touchy. I don't see Bella here. She obviously chose meaningful role to play. Love it.

ReplyDeleteI bought a stash of Kristen movies around Christmas, and it's safe to say ITLOW is one of the best, stroppy, smoky teenage Stew is always a win! Unfort, the CakeEaters dvd I bought is not compatible to disc players outside of the US, and I live in Ireland, so it sucks little.
This is a great movie, why is it always failed to be mentioned that Kristen has worked with many many many of the movie all time GREATS?! Jodie Foster is always the obvious noted one, but in this she worked with Meg Ryan, who is brilliant in this particular film. Sean Penn, Robert de Nero...
anyway, can't wait for your thoughts ;)

I didn't get a chance to watch ITLOW over the weekend, so I brought it into work with me this morning and am watching it on my laptop. I love this movie. It breaks my heart and makes me smile.
